GCSE English Language Tuition

The newly reformed GCSE in English  Language assesses skills in the following key areas outlined by the Department of Education:
  • Reading texts and understanding their content

  • Collating and summarising key information from texts

  • Identifying writers’ viewpoints and explaining how they are created within texts whilst comparing and cross referencing different perspectives on a topic

  • Analysing and evaluating the ways language and structure are used to create effects within a text

  • Writing imaginative and effective texts for a variety of purposes and audiences, using appropriate language choices

  • Organising the structure of a text into paragraphs which form a logical order

  • Using language accurately including spelling, grammar and punctuation

Teach Perfect English Language GCSE tuition complements provision in secondary schools by delivering skills sessions in all these areas, preparing students fully for examinations with any board.

Students can opt to study the whole course or to personalise their learning by selecting modules which address areas of weakness. The first option is obviously the most effective as the course is designed to build key skills cumulatively.
